postures.
Benefits: It is the most important mudra used for
meditation, helps in increasing
brain power,
prevents mental disorders, mental tensions. This was taught to me by a yogi
Swami Chakrajit.
He was initiated in the Himalayas.
Swamiji was drawn by an inner urge to go
towards the Himalayas.
One fine day he set on his eternal journey, he
never knew what way he was going, whether he had any money etc with him.
He straight away went to the railway station.
While entering the platform, a ticket
collector stopped him demanding to show the ticket. Somebody showed his ticket
and took him by his hand and made him sit in the train, in the upper class. He
did not recollect as to how long he travelled. Somebody woke him up at the
kathgodam foothill of the Himalayas kumaon Range terminus of the East Indian
Railway and took him to the bus stop.
He knew not the destination of the bus but he was made to sit there and the
ticket was handed over to him for the journey where he was destined to go. A
six year old boy come up to him and took him to a place from where some people
were about to leave for Kailas & Mansarovar. He could recollect that the
place from where he started was Almora. He follows the group for quite a long
time, mostly without any food. Other people used to ask him as to why he was in
such a state. They were not convinced even after an honest reply to them that
he reached there with a definite purpose to acquire some spiritual gain. When
Lake Mansarovar came, he was overjoyed and told the people around him that he
had found out the place for which he was destined. He made his way alone
through ups and downs, till he reached the deep Himalayas, where he started his
practices of yoga. He knew for how long he was there. When he experienced the
snow fall, he could recollect that he was completely drowned in the snow &
slowly became unconscious. Then he found himself in a very big cave. He made it
sure that he was not dreaming. He walked a while up and down the cave and then
suddenly got startled and stood gazing, for what he saw was a sage sitting
before him is a meditative pose . He could very well make out that his body was
extraordinary. He was the most beautiful personality he had ever seen, about
whom he very less describes. But his very personal students claim that he was
sage vyasa. Even if it is unbelievable but we got to take the better thing from
them for the benefits. While gazing the sage he had experienced that he was completely
lost and the sage had overpowered him. His body and mind started practicing
systems of yoga. In practicing his retention of breath had increased to a very
high extent to get all the extra sensory powers and he experience
enlightenment. He stayed there for six months after that he received an order
from his Guru that he has to go back to the world of man. Recently at his
residence at Pune he called his family members and left his body. He was very
simple and humble people staying there hardly knew about his achievement.
Meditate on vajrasana index finger touching
the thumb. Slowly rise while inhaling and attain veerabhadrasana on either side
turn your wrist inwards. While doing this feel the sensation as if energy is
coming through medulla oblongata or small brain and getting distributed through
center between eyebroughs.Bend your wrists inward feel the energy flowing as
vibrating sensations.
